Natural Remedies for Blackheads – Exfoliation, Cleansing Mask, and Moisturizing Mask

Natural Remedies for BlackheadsZits are one thing that pretty much everybody has to deal with at one time or another. For some of us, no matter what we do, our blackheads are here to stay. But in this article, I’ll introduce an awesome natural remedy for blackheads that you’re going to love.

Use This Natural Remedy for Blackheads

Blackhead pimples are a bit different than regular pimples. Blackheads tend to be smaller, more numerous, and a little less obvious to the causal observer.

But even if they’re not as obvious as the their brother the white head, you’re still not going to want these things to stay for long.

But don’t fear my friends, if you follow the steps in this three part process, I guarantee you’re going to have fresher looking skin that has a lot fewer blackheads.

Hint: You might want to read through the whole process first so that you’ve got everything ready to go and the order sorted out.

1. Sugar and Olive Oil Exfoliation

What you’ll need:

  • hot, damp towel
  • sugar
  • olive oil
  • plastic container with lid

The first step is called an exfoliation, and its purpose is to remove dead skin cells, open up pores, and physically remove blackheads from their hiding spots.

Prepare for your face exfoliation by having a hot, damp towel at the ready. You’ll want to soak your face with this hot towel first, and have the same or another hot towel ready to go after you complete the exfoliation process. You’ll need it in later steps.

Combine a tablespoon each of sugar and olive oil and mix well.

Rub this into your face and scrub well, but not too vigorously.

What you’re trying to do now is exfoliate the cells, and open up your pores.

Remove the exfoliate with the hot, damp towel to both clean and open up the pores even more.

You don’t need to scrub hard to remove the exfoliate, but just gently dab at your face a few times.

2. Egg White Mask

In this step you’re going to use a facial mask to remove even more blackheads from inside your skin’s pores.

What you’ll need:

  • two small Tupperware or plastic containers with lids
  • one egg

Preparation:

  • separate the yolk from the white
  • put the yolk into one of the plastic containers and the egg white in the other

Create the blackhead-removing mask:

Take the container with the egg white and add:

  • several drops of  of lemon juice
  • bit of turmeric
  • bit of cinnamon
  • bit of baking soda

Seal the container tightly and shake it well.

After 30 seconds or so the mixture should be foamy but still have a watery consistency. Feel free to adjust the ingredients as necessary.

Apply this mixture to your face with your fingers and make sure to evenly coat your entire face. Make sure that all surfaces containing blackheads are covered by the mixture.

Within a few minutes the egg white mask will start to dry and make your face feel tight. You can sleep with this mask, but it’s not necessary.

Just twenty minutes is all you need to get the mask set and dry. Once the mask has set, use your hot towel to gently remove it from your face.

Your skin will be free of blackheads, but you’ve removed the protective outer layer of dead skin cells. You’ll need to rehydrate and seal up the pores in this next critical step.

3. Egg Yolk with Aloe Moisturizer

Now it’s time for the moisturizing. This is a very important step that will help your facial skin seal in moisture and rejuvenate itself.

Take your egg yolk that you had separated out earlier and add in a bit of olive oil, a little milk, and a bit of aloe. You can use either the store bought aloe or that which you harvest from your herb garden.

Seal the plastic container and shake well.

It’s probably best to leave this mask on longer than just twenty minutes. The purpose of this mask is to seal in moisture and help heal your face. Your skin has just taken a big beating with the exfoliation and egg white cleansing mask processes, and you’ll want to make sure that it’s got the nutrients and hydration it needs to get back to its healthy self.

Both containers will last for a couple of weeks if you want to repeat the procedure. Some people perform these three steps each night for best results, but you don’t have to do it that often. You’ll notice great results with a frequency of only once or twice a week.

Now go out and feel great knowing that you’re naturally blackhead free!
